At GIREXX we wish to make the whole process as simple as possible by avoiding
unnecessary visits to the clinic. For this reason we concentrate all the treatment in just 2
appointments.

Medical tests
Here you will find a list of the medical tests that you can have in your own country. Once you get their results you can send them to us through our RESTRICTED AREA, by e-mail or personally on your first appointment at Girexx.
By analysing the results of the tests and the information provided by the couple our gynaecologists will be able to diagnose the causes of sterility and consequently offer the couple the most appropriate treatment in order to achieve a pregnancy.
Your partner, if you have one, must also be present.

- Assessment of the patient’s personal and family medical history
- Complete gynaecological examination
- Analysis of medical tests.
- Information about the selected treatment.
- Seminogram and semen cryoconservation
Medication
At home and for a month approximately, you will have to take medication. Throughout the whole process we will be at your disposal and in permanent contact by phone or e-mail to assess how you respond to medication and to monitor your treatment accurately.
Depending on the selected treatment, we will perform either an embryo transfer, or an insemination or a follicular puncture (egg extraction). In any case, it is a short process which lasts 1 hour approximately and after which you will be able to go back home.
The Embryo Transfer consists of placing 1 or 2 embryos the patient’s uterus through the vagina with the help of an ultrasound scan. It is a short painless process which does not require any sort of anaesthetics.
Pregnancy test
Once at home, and 12 days after the embryo transfer a pregnancy test is performed (bloodtest). Throughout the process we are at your disposal for any doubts that may arise.
