Lewis Hamilton: firstly that’s really amazing that he’s reassuring… I was just actually watching some of the restarts, the begins of earlier years and viewing him out of his Renault times and I remember before I even got to Formula 1 seeing how beautiful their starts were. He’s always going to be an excellent driver although I don’t know how older Fernando is. If he will find a fantastic chair, he’s always welcome here to battle with us. It does not make me a difference. I’m here to fight whoever’s here.
Max Verstappen: Yeah, I think that it was a bit of a shame that I never had an opportunity to resist against him in F1 so yeah…
LH: Can be a for you.
MV: Fernando? Well, you have experience with it, I don’t know. Nicely…
Sebastian Vettel: ” He could be your father!
MV: Yeah, it is close! Yeah, I understand. As a young father. Just how old is he? 36? 38! OK 17 is likely to be a father.
SV: Talking with expertise?
MV: I don’t know. At least I don’t understand.
LH: How old are you?
MV: 21. Many decades, plenty of decades…
LH: Jeez. I like being in this area because I’m not the oldest!
MV: 34?
LH: I am 34, yeah, almost 35.
SV: I will inform you, the day people get beat by somebody who is born in 2000 and upward. We’ll know it is time…
MV: I am not so young!
Q: final thoughts on Fernando, Sebastian? Would you prefer to see him ?
SV: I don’t mind. I really don’t know why… I don’t think he never liked me. I really don’t think we actually had a… I do not mind him. I respect him for what he can do on track and for what he achieved. I really don’t understand. I guess he’s tired if he has the time. So bring him back, so I don’t mind.
MV: Maybe as a networking supervisor. To me, he has always been really nice and good. I like that he is now currently looking into other opportunities such as rushing. That he wishes to win and he simply loves racing, he still wishes to be aggressive. It’s good to see.
LH: The game requires the top drivers in the very best chairs and there is still at least a chair available that is great enough for winning and he’s great enough for winning therefore it would not be such a bad…
MV: Maybe he can speak to Toto.
LH: Valtteri’s great; Valtteri’s already been winning. You’re the person with the additional seat, I’d say.
MV: I did not say that.
SV: I’m not certain…

“He’s committed to Red Bull, this is where he’s racing this season and this is where he’s going to race the season after. And everything else is extremely far out in the open.”

About the 2020 line-up,” Steiner continued:”Gene [Haas, team owner] and myself may make the decision over the summer break, ideally, and we could come back and understand how we come back forward with all the drivers for second year.
“There is demand of motorists, but there is not a great deal of movement yet. Everybody is asking, we are placing our feelers out seeing what is happening, but nothing has ever transferred. When the first domino falls the marketplace will start to move”

Bottas added:”I do not think 1 mistake or a single race is going to change anything. That’s my mindset coming here. I must not thinking about it, focus on that and I need to do my best.
