(CNN) — There has been no coach and no Cristiano Ronaldo target however, the Juventus juggernaut shows no signs of slowing.
Even the champions opened the Serie A season with a 1-0 triumph over Parma while new trainer Maurizio Sarri continued his comeback from pneumonia.
Ronaldo — starting his 18th professional soccer season — buried the ball to the back of the net but it was ruled from VAR (virtual assistant referee).
Bianconeri captain Giorgio Chiellini felt the only goal when he poked at the deflected ball residence and he paid tribute to Sarri.
“He can be proud since the staff have demonstrated that we are united and we can train with commitment and application,” Chiellini stated on the club web site.

Sarri missed the final phase of training following flu was diagnosed with pneumonia. The Italian will also miss Saturday’s big home match against Napoli and was not on the bench for the Parma match.
Juventus said that Sari had been, nevertheless, demonstrating”good clinical advancement.”
In June, Sarri confessed to smoking 60 cigarettes per day. “I do not especially feel the need to smoke through games,” he advised Football Italia. “But straight afterwards it is in fact necessary.”
