The European Club Association have been set to meet in Geneva on Tuesday to decide what European football’s future will look like from 2024.
UEFA had proposed a revamped Champions League arrangement with four teams of eight nightclubs, as opposed. That would imply 14 games with some of those fixtures to be played at the weekend.
There are also hints 24 of the 32 teams would be guaranteed places at the contest for the season.
On the other hand, the plans are met from chief executives, fan groups and leagues. Earlier this season Premier League clubs voiced their concerns.
It’s known there are worries the changes would lead to calendars that were overcrowded, together along with leagues needing to alter some fixtures. There’s also a feeling qualification is wanted by many .
Therefore, it is believed the initial proposals will be reconsidered by the ECA and some changes will be much less radical than anything else initially envisaged.
??? More European games at all levels with a more competitive environment and high quality
??? Greater monetary stability
??? Links between clubs perform in domestic leagues and how they get competitions
